On a cold, overcast, but fortunately dry morning, we had two games at home: a U9 derby and U10 Lions. Nonetheless, our awesome canteen was churning out hot chips that went down a treat! Be sure to stop in for a bite next week!

Melville Slammers def by Willetton Lynx
The U12 Willetton Lynx traveled to take on the Melville Slammers, with the rain threatening – but holding out long enough for the game. The Lynx played with a full team for the first time this season and came out firing from the very beginning, hitting the ball hard and running the bases with a lot of hustle. The Slammers tried their best to get back into the game, but the Lynx fielding was too slick – recording some great outs. Lynx ran out as convincing winners, with too many highlights to mention. A fantastic effort from the team as a whole, and a testament to the great teamwork displayed by all.

What a cold game for a summer sport. A solid game between two teams making it a great match to watch. Pretty even Steven with a close score of 25 to 23. Special mention to Blake for a terrific outfield catch (player of the day). Two home runs from Declan and Oscar (his first) Hi Fives all around! Overall the team did some strong batting and fielding with a number of great, picks, tags, and catching. Great effort Jaguars.
